Praying you SATURATE your minds during this fast, the devil is mad at your obedience so you must arm yourself with the full armor of God. Stay in His word!
We can not stress enough how imperative it is to tell your mind what to think. I know, that is a strange statement but guess what, television, billboards, commercials, magazines, social media, your friends, family, popular opinion, pop culture ALL IMPOSE an intention or their views on you via conversation or exposure. If you think you don't have to sensor what you consume and remind yourself of your values, you are sadly mistaken my sister.
Do not be conformed to the pattern of the world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
We are challenging you ladies as we challenge ourselves to identify moments when you are 'speaking' from the flesh and requiring yourselves to constantly renew your minds. Praying God that we identify the power of our words and begin to speak LIFE and not death over situations. Praying Father that we are honoring the blessings you have given us with our thoughts, words and actions. Praying God that we desire correctly to hear more of you and less of us. Praying God that we quiet our world by turning up Your word. Praying God that our consumption is a reflection of what matters most to us. Help us to re prioritize and give us a fresh perspective of what we consume each day.
Challenge: Every time you catch yourself speaking in the flesh
ex: talking about someone, gossiping
ex: complaining
ex: being negative
ex:cursing
etc.
OUT LOUD, declare God in that moment! by saying
"God I repent. Search me for everything in me that is unlike you. Replace my negative thoughts with the reality of your goodness and use me in spite of my shortcomings."
This fast will be over before we know it, FIGHT for your peace sisters. God is so near and so present, talk to HIM. He loves you and He cares.
