Sisters you've mad it through week 1!

How do you FEEL?

No really, ask yourself that question out loud and answer it out loud. Continue to answer it over and over again until your answers are no longer surface responses like good, excited, proud, inspired and your responses begin to sound a little more like I feel obedient, I feel loved, I feel afraid, I feel vulnerable, I feel like I want to cry but I don't know why...

Sisters as women we are truly wondrous and beautiful creations of the most high. We are special. We love like no other being. We extend ourselves beyond our comfort. We push, We create, We fight to become, We... but we also are the most selfish to ourselves and when you are selfish to yourself no matter how much you give your family, your career, your friends, you are never giving them YOUR BEST! Because YOU ARE THE BEST part of what you can do for anyone. We've all heard the terms "Fill your tank before you pour into others" or "Apply your oxygen mask before you assist anyone else with theirs." 

Truth is, we don't value ourselves enough which is why we...

• expect others to do for us what we do for them
• judge women who don't appear to put their family first. 
• begin to resent the man we did EVERYTHING to get

no need to continue with examples. This isn't about what we do wrong it's about knowing that God says NO YET to us, to get us to choose right. Huh? Yeah HE protects us from ourselves.

Think of God as the friend that tells all of your business. You know she does because she tells you everyone else's business. Well God is like that 'I know every ones business friend' and remember when you were younger and it seemed your parent knew what you would do before you did it? God is like that parent as well. So God knows all of YOUR business, all of YOUR friends business and YOUR next move before you even make it, but you DON'T know all of HIS business because HIS business is YOU. 

During this fast you are giving God access! When you give God access you don't just unlock the room you want HIM to clean up. He isn't your maid. When you give HIM access remember HE is your OWNER, HE may be there to fix the leaky pipe you mentioned but He may notice that your ROOF is going to cave in. So your pipe may be still leaking after week one of this fast but God has already repaired your roof. He has assessed the damage in the floor boards. He noticed the holes in the walls and the decorating you've done to avoid making the repairs. Be patient in HIM. Seek to find HIM in EVERY area of your life. Surrender and tell God to search you and sisters be GRATEFUL! He loves you better than you love yourself or better than you love anyone else. So HE may be saying NOT YET to one or many of your prayer request because He knows if He gave you that thing right now it would become a God to you, you would use it to smear in someone else's face or you would become to busy to seek HIM. Here's the thing, the best thing HE can give you is HIMSELF and through HIM all blessings flow. So HE is trying to get you to choose HIM daily, over and over again, in every situation. Instead of arguing choose Him, instead of complaining choose Him, instead of doubting choose Him, instead of settling choose Him, instead of worrying yourself into sleepless nights and days that go in circles, rest and choose HIM. 

Now How do you FEEL, knowing no matter what happens throughout your day, you did the best thing you could do for yourself by choosing HIM!.
