Those who walk righteously and speak what is right,
who reject gain from extortion and keep their
hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears
against the plots of murder and shut their eyes against
contemplating evil- they are the ones who will dwell on
the heights, whose refuge will be the mountains fortress.
Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them.
Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land
thats stretches afar. Isaiah 33:15-17
Hi dear sisters,
We've been briefly studying the word RIGHTEOUS and we just wanted to encourage you in living "RIGHT-eous". Sisters, we are sinners. We are born into sin, ever since Eve made that 'choice' in the garden. But with that reality we MUST also, remember that CHRIST died and rose from the grave FOR US. God knows us. He knows our thoughts, proclivities, secrets, desires etc. He knows when you choose flesh and when you choose the spirit. He knows! Our desire today is to impart 3 things.
1. God knows and HIS knowing is more important than the perception of ANYONE else. If we want to live righteous, we must make RIGHT choices. The first of right choices must be, identifying where your desire to please resides. DESIRE to please THE FATHER! "I won't do this, because I want to please God. I will do this because I want to please GOD." It's not about man, it's not about you, life is all about putting your audience into perspective. Giving your biggest fan, the most attention and a v.i.p. seat in your life.
2. The BIBLE gives us framework on how to live a righteous life. Sin is missing the mark. This scripture speaks specifically to our expectations of righteousness in Christ LUKE 12:48 We pray we all begin to identify how 'specific' sin is to each of us. Listen, God uses sin to deliver us, to give us a testimony, to give himself the glory. We are to learn and grow from sin. When we begin to repeat the same 'offenses' over and over it's a stumbling block and we are caught in sin. However, when we know better the Bible says we do better. Furthermore it says, to whom much is given, much is required. Sisters, your riches are a reflection of your richness. Don't squander your wealth. Accept that what may be a sin for all of us may not call ALL of us out of our destiny. EX: Fornication is a sin for everyone. However, your sister may have fornicated, then met her husband and is now living according to God's law. Fornication may not seem like it 'effected' her much. However, if you choose to fornicate you must understand that God has chosen each of us specifically for our personal destiny. The very same sin your sister committed may cost you your calling; May remove you from consideration from an appointing/platform that only you were created to fill. That whisper saying 'don't' is God. He doesn't yell. Just quiet your world so you can hear his whispers concerning you.
3. Grace- is what God gives us, that we do not DESERVE. There is no one else who can love us and know us the way the Father does. Let us live to make HIM smile. Let our lives be a reflection of the love we have with and for God. Let us know that we will fall short and miss the mark at times but we are covered by HIS grace. Seek forgiveness DAILY. Yes, we sin daily but may we live to inspire others to come to know what living for Christ looks and feels like.
Recap:
First- Perform for the correct audience, GOD!
Second- Understand that your RIGHTeousness is a reflection of your assignment. To whom much is given, much is required.
Finally- Claim your forgiveness daily and seek to look more like HIM each and every day.
