Did We Give the Devil an Invitation?

Happy Tuesday Sisters, 

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, 

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

 Then you will be able to test and approve 

what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will. 

                        Romans 12:2

   In a recent conversation we posed the question

 "why does everything we do need to be shared with friends?" 

Using the navigation on your phone, you can share it with friends. Creating a vision board, you can share it on Facebook, everything has a sharing component today. In essence it invites people in; So it also invites in their thoughts, conditions, feelings, opinions, world views etc. 

Remember years ago movies didn't have sex scenes, they showed a man or woman smoking a cigarette in the bedroom. Sex was implied, now there is implied sex. 

Is it progression or regression? 

That's the point of this entry sisters. To identify that what the world may view as progression and empowerment could very well be regression for the kingdom of God. 

Are we becoming desensitized? And how do we, renew our minds so we do not conform? 

  The more access you grant the world, the more you need to access God. If you invite people into your marriage, your bedroom, your family. Understand that you invite their flesh. We all have a flesh side of us. When you are saved it's a 'faith fight' daily to become and not revert to who you were. So when you post your intimate details on social sites, understand that not everyone is fighting the faith fight with you. Not everyone wants your family to succeed. The devil isn't under the cement with a red suit and a pitch fork. The devil is in the woman who is coveting your marriage. The man who is lusting after your photos. The girl who wants to know how you got that promotion. etc. etc. Use social media. Use it for work, use it personally but understand that when you use a world system, the world has access to use you. You are then a consumer as well. You see a half naked woman and it's no longer a shock. You see a girl twerking and you wonder if you can do it, rather than why did she feel the need to post this video. etc. etc. 

How do you renew your mind? 

1. Spend time in God's word, DAILY! Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes... Ephesians 6:10-6:18
2. You are called to be SALT and LIGHT.. let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16
3. You PRAY without ceasing. Don't judge, PRAY! Establish a repport with your loved ones where you can encourage them in the ways of the Lord. Encourage someone towards God, reminding them of how desperately they need the Father, not about how royally they messed up.
4. Repent, You have to identify your wrongness and not justify it. Daily, several times per day, check yourselves. Delete that post, unfollow that man your lusting over, or that girl who you can't say anything positive about. You can create your presence, so LEAVE EM IN AWE!
