Happy DAY 20

  This last week really sped by us. Just to be clear tomorrow is our final full day of fasting. Normal activities, or some version of them, can resume as of Sunday 2/14/16. Our prayer today is that we truly embrace the conclusion of this fast as a beginning of life under new management. We are sure that each of us approach the 'end of a thing' differently. Some people are proud to have successfully completed the fast while others are apprehensive about the culmination assuming that without a daily 'requirement' God's presence won't remain as clear/present in their daily lives. God wants you to rejoice in every emotion you have at this time. Your feelings are valid. Explore completely how you feel, how you've changed, and what changes will change your relationship with Christ forever.

Briefly look at these two definitions

Discipline: the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to
                  correct disobedience.

Sacrifice: an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering
                 to God.

   Sisters you made your life a sacrifice to the most high. In your surrender you laid down that of which you desire or expect to consume/utilize daily as an offering to spend more time with the Father. True encounters with Christ will inevitably change you. Your spirit will be convicted in different ways and at different times but most importantly, Jesus became the center. Our prayer is that HE remains the center of your hearts, thoughts and actions. Not out of discipline but out of pure love. A desire to love HIM better. A desire to live this life as HE has called you to and to place HIM as Lord over your life. Guess what? HE can handle you, you're not too much for HIM. HE created you, He knows you, He accepts you, He loves you and He delights in you. So today as we near the end of this special time of sacrifice we pray that you cast your fears on Him. That we look to seal HIS presence within us. That we seek Him as we enter a room and that we leave if He is not present. That we seek to look more like HIM every day and that we surrender daily over and over again to HIS perfect will and timing in our lives. We pray against anxiety, societies time clock and our womanly urges to create that of which we seek. God we don't want to fashion our husbands by our standards. We don't want to convince the boss that we are qualified. We don't wish to be the center and the apple of our kids eyes. We want more of you and less of us. More of you in our spouses, more of you in our career, more of you in us, more of you in our homes. We give you glory today God. We enter day 20 with pure excitement about your wonder working power. We ask for your hedge of protection Father, don't allow the enemy to have access to the seeds you've just planted. Let these seeds of peace, forgiveness, faith, patience, love and surrender take root so that we may display your splendor. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!
