GOD is GOD and I am NOT!

Happy Tuesday Queen,

Today's entry is a beautiful reminder from #AWE contributor @FAITHROCKS

    While we intellectually know in all the Earth, there is none greater than God, an inherent part of our humanity struggles to trust and obey Him fully. Reflecting upon the Sovereignty, uniqueness and power of God, we have reason to stand firm, resting assured of His promises. Firstly, because God is Sovereign, the trials and tribulations of this world have no authority over us. Therefore, we have no reason to fear!

Psalm 27:1 says, “The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? 

The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?”

   Moreover, the story of Job proves to all mankind we need not even fear the hand of Satan because nothing under the sun happens without first being subject to the Sovereignty of God.

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that Job has is in your power, 

only do not put your hand on the man himself” Job 1:12.

 Secondly, while many false gods and graven images once walked the Earth, the true and living God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit stands matchless to none. There is no other God able to save, empower, and supply all of our needs than that of the incomparable power of the Holy Trinity. There is no situation of financial challenge or lack too hard for God the Father to provide. There isn't a challenge too great for the Holy Spirit, the comforter, to intervene. There isn't a temptation or persecution where Jesus isn't standing by to deliver with love and grace.

   Lastly, we are encouraged to place our cares at the feet of our Savior who has all power and authority in His hand. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but on the third day rose again, He was resurrected from the grave with all power in His hand. If Jesus Christ has the power to conquer death, what of this world should we fear? There is no one greater than Jesus Christ who now sits in the highest place of honor at the right hand of God. Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us. 

Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Romans 8:34

If you know God is sovereign but still have trouble trusting HIM completely please pray this prayer: Holy One, Sovereign Father, The great I AM, help me to see you properly. Help my thoughts, heart and help my "want too's" dear God. Help me to see my trials as an opportunity for you to reign and show yourself mighty. God I surrender my limited abilities for your limitless and matchless power. God I ask that you accept my brokenness and know my hearts desires to see you appropriately. I surrender all father, withholding nothing. I will pray and expect an answer. I will worship in the midst of pain and I will expect Great for you are a great and mighty God! In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!
